Behind Door Number One

Behind Door Number One
Saturday was spent settling the house, and my nerves in preparation for my week in NYC. I have not traveled for several weeks, and though I do have a system, it does not feel as seamless as it sometime does.
This is a picture I took last year in Philly. Once again I find myself search for the right door, and the magic formula for opening it in all of its glory.
Tonight brings a Gallery Opening...that deepens my desire to paint...and tomorrow will bring an adventure in the City...and the opportunity to continue to clean out old dirt...I will be happy when I can let that cleaning lady go...I think I am close...

Metal Door

Metal Door
Lately I seem to be overly interested in doors and windows. I think that is parallel with my quest for finding where I belong in the Universe. I am reminded of the old television game show, with the grand prize being set behind door number one, two or three...and am feeling that if I can just find and open the correct door, my life will be clear and I will be on my path...and most importantly have energy to spend on going forward instead of forward, back and occasionally sideways.
Some days I feel close to knowing, others not so much...so for now...the search continues...

The Door to ?

The Door to ?
I saw this door today at the B. Sakato Gallery. It was a small garden which held a pond (with rumored hibernating turtle) and many really interesting plants. The door was interesting as it was set against a wall and did not go anywhere...not the usual function of a door.
When I first saw the door, it reminded me of my life...I am at a juncture with a new door...and what is behind it I am not sure, but am hopeful that it is what I am looking for....
Actually, this was also a great idea to combine with the metal vents for my next back yard...something I am looking forward to designing...
