Shock and Awe...well...Not Really...

Shock and Awe...Well...Not Really...

I know myself pretty well, and most days I can see the writing on the wall.  Today was no exception...some fabulous hours, not a surprise...though the bottom line of what it all means continues to be clear as mud to me.

I was advised last week by a friend to "live in the moment"...I think I do that now more than I ever have...though that is still not my most comfy space...and I think that I need a "deeper" meaning...

This is a picture I took at the Sacramento Ice House several months ago.  It has a special meaning and I love the colors...and there it is...that "love" word again...

Beijing

Beijing

I may be going to Beijing...on the adventure of a lifetime...if I am approved for a Visa, and if my Boss grants me the time to enjoy. I applied today for my Visa, and await approval...my treasured Passport is in San Francisco in the hands of those who will decide if my past allows me my future.

This is the closest photo I have taken that portrays my imagined look of China...it was taken in Shoshone...on the way home from a life changing trip to Death Valley. My tide is changing, and finally feels as if a I can feel a direction that includes love, faith and happiness...tonight I am feeling just plain lucky...and that is very nice...

Change is Constant

Change is Constant

At some point in my near future I am hoping to have important aspects of my life agreed upon and predictable. My Horoscope has said that more change is in store, and frankly there are days I wonder how much more flux and change I can absorb and still continue to breathe.

This is a picture I took on a recent trip to Santa Fe...it is the side of a trash can...one of the few constants in my life today is my love of rust and color. I have taken several amazing trips this year, and have seen images and felt scenery that I did not know existed. What I long for now is the feeling of being connected to another...to have a home, to matter enough to be worth effort...to enjoy a shared partnership...and deep love. My friend Mel has said that she has decided that the Universe wants her to stay single...I am hoping that is not my fate...
